Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. Ephesians 4:3-6 This is something I had the privilege to be a part of in my community of Denver. Faith leaders marching for peace, lamenting for our hurt brothers and sisters, and crying out for unity in the body. Though Ive seen a lot of division, I hope for Unity. I pray that we would listen to one another, have compassion for one another, and ultimately take up the cause for one another. Be your brothers keeper. Sure theres a lot of ugly that is easy to see, but God sees that ugly and turns it into something beautiful. Like dust for crying out loud! Through our weakness His power is made perfect. Have a conversation with someone who is different than you, walk along side them, experience their life just as much as your own. In this moment of history that may mean someone with a different shade of skin, but it could mean a different belief, I dont know. But what I do know is if you come together in the Name of the Lord, He will be there With you. It will be ugly, trust me, but then again what isnt these days?
