Make no mistake, Democrat John Buckner for State Representative is one of the most anti-gun politicians in the Colorado House of Representatives. In fact, Representative Buckner voted for all of the radical anti-gun measures that passed during the disastrous 2013 Legislative Session. Now, I’m sure that Representative Buckner is hoping his constituents will have long forgotten about his votes and give him a pass. I hope you don’t make that mistake. It’s vital that gun owners know where every candidate for office stands. And that’s why we sent candidate surveys to every candidate running for the Colorado State House of Representatives, asking very specific questions about where each candidate stands on your Second Amendment rights. The results might shock you. First, the good news. Republican House District 40 candidate JulieMarie Shepherd, CO House District 40 has answered our candidate survey 100% in favor of your right to keep and bear arms. JulieMarie has outlined a specific plan to both oppose gun control and advance your rights. Now, this isn’t surprising. JulieMarie is a supporter of Rocky Mountain Gun Owners and has a track record of being a vocal supporter of gun rights. Unfortunately, there is some bad news. Democrat State Representative John Buckner has refused to answer our survey. Now, I’m not surprised that Buckner refused to answer the survey. After all, he already cast multiple votes against our Constitutional rights just last year. Normally, a politician’s refusal to answer virtually means they’d vote anti-gun if elected, and it’s often a sign that they’re hiding anti-gun views. But John Buckner isn’t even trying to hide his support for gun control –- he made that clear with the power of his vote. Democrat State Representative John Buckner won’t answer the Rocky Mountain Gun Owners Candidate Survey. This isn’t surprising, knowing that he voted for almost all of the radical anti-gun bills in 2013. However, it’s vital that you contact John Buckner right away, and insist that he answer the RMGO Candidate Survey and pledge to stand up to the gun-grabbers in Denver. And, make sure you vote for Republican candidate JulieMarie Shepherd, CO House District 40 on November 4th. Also, thank her for returning her survey 100% in support of your right to keep and bear arms.
