Makenzie starts the testing for Muscular Dystrophy and Cerebral Palsy on Friday. Our first round of tests include blood work, developmental evaluations and an intracranial ultrasound. She has been observed by their (zoe and kenzies) psychiatrist, neurologist and pediatrician and her muscle tone has really started to become an issue. Her toe walking is the #1 concern so she has also been referred to an orthopedics physician. She stands almost completely on her toe nails. She does this without pain but when placed in shoes and forced to walk on flat feet she is distressed. Testing will take quite some time so for now she just has received a clinical CP diagnosis. Makenzies current diagnostic history is as follows: Poor Lung Function Global Developmental Delay Toe Walking Hypotonia followed by Hypertonia Facial and Oral muscular weakness Lennox Gastaut Syndrome Congenital Insomnia Current medications: Onfi (clobazem) Valproate Depakote Clonidine Melatonin Ativan
