Making Independent Cinema is not easy - but it is essential if we are going to be at the center of our story telling - these pastels and bullets are from my DADS drawing table - he was a huge inspiration to me and hes in my picture - how he felt about the Pachuco and humanizing the Pachuca I feel about Norte/Sur in W&P - I find it real easy to be ADD and do cut and past art and museum text and short videos - did a lot of it - but completing a feature length film - finding its narrative structure - form script to pre-production - to months of post and rejections but staying on it with dedicated producers and editors and actors, line producers, camera and first AD and then finally having a film to call your own with your collaborators - well, its not ADD and its not easy. ART - something we leave behind - this is of import - the awards the dinners the BS is nothing compared to the art - first and foremost - our screenings are a call to action - to get out to support films and stories by us for us - the human race...
