Making a Holiday Tradition Into a Holiday Mission The Reality Dance studio and SPCA are partnering to produce this year’s Nutcracker Ballet. The Nutcracker Ballet will be an original production based on the traditional ballet. The vision of the Reality Dance Studio’s Nutcracker is to bring the classic story to new ages with innovative choreography, interactive props and sets, professional theater make-up and creative costuming. Our vision is to keep the tradition alive and fresh by making it more appealing to a wider spectrum of audience members through the use of MAGIC! One of the largest highlights of our new production is the purchase of props made by a local magician. Take a seat and delight as you witness our 20-foot, growing Christmas tree and grandfather clock, watch in disbelief as Santa’s magical sleigh produces human dolls and giggle away as our rambunctious rats catapult turkey sized cheese from a man sized rat trap! As you enjoy this holiday tradition, know that you are helping to make a difference in our community for the lives of many lost and abandoned animals. This production will be sure to enhance your holiday as you imagine is taken away through the art of magic and dance. Most importantly, your heart will be full knowing that your support has helped the animals that can’t help themselves. Find the true meaning of Christmas and make it part of your fun holiday traditions with Reality Dance Studio’s Nutcracker Ballet. In partnering with ASPCA, we are able to bring the real meaning of Christmas to our production. It is our responsibility to create a better community and to instill this in future generations. In bringing awareness and support to a local animal shelter, the dancers and families participating in the Nutcracker will get a chance to spread real holiday magic. All dancers in the production will participate in a work day at the shelter to give their time to a good cause. The gift of support will continue throughout the performances held; all who come to see the show are giving a gift to the shelter, as a portion of ticket proceeds will go to the shelter. The ASPCA will be present at the theater with a donations tree and adoption board for animals in need of homes, hopefully in time for Christmas. The ASPCA and Reality Dance Studio are excited to work together on this venture, creating true holiday spirit and compassion for all creatures. We hope to grow together and to make this a holiday tradition for the community!
