Making the first move, whether in friendship, dating, or going for the last cookie, is difficult and it is always easier when someone else makes the initial gesture. Who do you know that you can make the first gesture for so they might have that delicious cookie that is Epikos? Would it have been easier for your first visit to church if someone was there by your side? Maybe someone was there for you and you see how important that initial gesture is. This Christmas season has a couple of opportunities to easily invite someone to Epikos. On December 20 Bibi McGill (lead guitarist for Beyonce) will be sharing her story. On December 24 we will have a special Christmas Eve service. It is as simple as taking a deep breath, putting a smile on your face and asking, Would you like to come hear the lead guitarist for Beyonce speak on Saturday? Perhaps you would rather use the Facebook event pages to invite a friend. Or maybe a text message: 12/24 sing songs drink cocoa, you in? Who will you invite to join us on a Saturday? Who do you pray for in hope that they will hear Gods whisper and come home to Him? At one point, someone prayed for us and now we can do the same for another. Choose a person or two in your life that is the next person you can share Epikos with and pray for them. Ask for God to show you how you can help them to find the joy and comfort and community that you enjoy at Epikos.
