Malachi was born on November 18, 2013 weighing 1 pound 10oz. He entered this world fighting and has continued to do so over the past eight months. Due to various severe health issues, Malachi has had to undergo 5 surgeries. While he continues to improve, Malachi has a long way to go before he can come home to his family. There have been several setbacks in getting Malachi to the long term rehabilitation center but this little fighter continues smiling and fighting. Unfortunately the facilities that Malachi receives care in are several hours away from where his family lives. This has proved to be a great source of stress for his family as they want to be with him but are unable to do to financial constraints. Additionally, Malachi has an older sister this mom must care for as well. His family currently lives with his grandparents but sadly, tragedy has once again struck this family as Malachis grandfather was recently diagnosed with a tumor. This adds to the heartbreak this family is already having to endure. Once Malachi has been stabilized and doctors determine he can be transferred to a long term care facility, he will be going to Rock Castle Rehabilitation Center in Mount Vernon Ky. This is still far away from home. Additionally, Malachis mom will not be allowed to stay with him and there is no Ronald McDonald House close by. In order for Kendra (Mommy) to be able to stay with Malachi she will need to stay somewhere as well as cover expenses for gas and food. It is our hope that once Malachi is transferred that our family will be able to stay with him at least 3 days per week. We have missed so much and our hearts break at the thought of having to be remain separated from Malachi. We are reaching out and asking for your help in raising the funds to help us be with Malachi. In addition to this fundraiser, we have someone working on a garage sale, shirts, bracelets and a car wash. No amount is to small in helping us get to our goal. If you are unable to donate, please share this fundraiser page. If you are not comfortable sharing, please pray for Malachi and his family as they go through this difficult time. You can follow Malachi on his journey on his FB page: Miracles for Malachi. Please like his page and share that as well. The more awareness we can bring to Malachi and his fight, the sooner we can reunite our family. We appreciate every donation and cherish every prayer. Please feel free to add Malachi to your prayer list at church as well. From the bottom of our hearts, our family is grateful for everything......gofundme/clobpg
