Malala yousafzai of Pakistan and children rights activist Kailash Satyarthy of India jointly own Nobel Peace Prize. Edward Snowden, Pope Francis and Denis Mukwege were some of the other names considered to be contenders for the prize, awarded annually since 1901 by Norways Nobel committee to the person who shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses. Yousafzai and Satyarthi share the award for their struggle against the suppression of children and young people and for the right of all children to education, the committee said.
