Thats the word spreading on social media this evening, along with more weight being lent to the assertion that the Belgian had indeed felt his hamstring tighten during the first half and that was why he was withdrawn at half time. Mirallas came in for heavy criticism from pundits and supporters alike for apparently usurping spot-kick specialist, Leighton Baines, when the Blues were awarded a penalty at the end of the first half of the goalless draw. His subsequent substitution led to speculation that Roberto Martinez had hooked him for his decision but the manager explained after the match that he was removed as a precaution because of his hamstring.
