Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370 Update A quick round-up of the days developments so far: China announced this morning it had spotted what could be a piece of debris in the Indian Ocean, 120km south west of where Australian teams are already searching. The new object measures 22.5m by 13m, and a ship is being sent to the site to try and verify it. Teams scouring the search zone 1,500 miles west of Perth in Australia - where other objects were spotted last week - failed to find any sign of MH370 for a third day. A daily briefing between officials and Chinese relatives of those on board became heated, with police called in to calm things down, after those waiting for news demanded to be told the truth. Malaysias transport minister insisted he had not given up hope, and would not put a time limit on the length of the search. mirror.co.uk
