Malcolm Freedman; my father- a talented teacher, endless adventurer and passionate cyclist passed away 7th October 1988. A long ride in the bush for me today to reflect on this and my own impending fatherhood...he died when I was six, and the limited memories I have of him was of a loving father who knew that his days with his two young children were numbered- so made the most of every one. If I can carry a fraction of that awareness and presence with my children then dad has left a very special and important legacy. Fathers- hug your kids today!
