Male patron comes into the bar with a guest. I take his credit card. He racks up $100+ tab over 2 hours. I catch him trying to leave the bar w/o asking/signing for his tab. His buddy has already slipped out. I run the card, declined. I ask him for his ID. He refuses. He tries to flee the bar & gets physical. Cops are called. An hour later 2 different cops are brought in & want to release him. I insist on pressing charges. Assault + fraudulent credit card. Cops try to dissuade me. I persist. While I am taking care of other guests, they handcuff him & take him away. ???? I just called the 3rd District Headquarters & 911 dispatch & the only record is my phone call to the police. He wasnt arrested or even reported by the police. Perhaps the cops didnt want to do...their job. And so the drama begins, guess Im filing a report against the cops tomorrow also.
