Mama Lanas nightly feed:- 1st December 2014 Tonight was a warm evening with lots of hungry and friendly faces. First up was a delicious choice of macaroni cheese or chicken soup which went down a treat thanks to Christine. This was followed by a variety of sandwiches and salads courtesy of Sharyn And of course dessert! The favourite donuts, cheese and crackers, fruit with custard and chocolate sponge cake all washed done with plenty of cold water and iced tea. Mr J was feeling a little down tonight but enjoyed seeing all his favourite volunteers. Sally worked her magic with getting emergency accommodation through link2home for a new patron who was living with his sibling and sadly ended up without shelter. Mr S was scared and shaken but quickly felt relief when 2 volunteers were able to take him to his accomodation. Two of our volunteers casey and joanna completed their 15can challenge tonight, which came in great need for a quick crisis hamper for a new patron, who will receive an emergency hamper tomorrow. And last but not least our wonderful team of Librarians. Our patrons love Mondays where they get to talk about all the things they love to read.
