Mama had a great Thanksgiving! I think it was in part because of this pink paper. We put everyones name on pink paper and sister L, pinned it to our clothes. Just imagine having Alzheimers, and the frustration of trying to remember the names of 9 children and grandchildren. My favorite part was her remembering the melody of a song she used to lead in church called, Ive Been Washed in the Blood of the Lamb. She sang and we were the choir. It was a great day for singing, eating, remembering stories of growing up and giving thanks for mama. And of course thanks for pink paper that temporarily erased the need to memorize names.
