Man Arrested For Selling Fake NSCDC Employment Forms A 28-year-old man has been arrested in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital for selling fake Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) employment forms to members of the public. The commandant of the corps, Mr Pedro Ideba who disclosed this while briefing newsmen said the suspect was arrested following a tip-off by one of his victims. He urged members of the public especially job seekers to be wary of fraudsters who pose as recruitment merchants adding that the command was not currently on employment drive in the state. The suspect Ndifreke Effiong told newsmen that he went into the business after several failed attempts to secure admission into the University and the exploitation he suffered in the process, to make ends meet. He disclosed that he sold each of the fake recruitment forms at N5,000 before he was arrested. Also arrested by the command were three brothers who allegedly tampered with the Port Harcourt power distribution company’s cables. The suspects Uduak, Aniekan and Idara Effiong however explained that one of them was hired to remove the cables from the electricity pole of a nearby house.
