Man Charged with Rape of a Child! The #Giles County Sheriff’s Department has arrested a man for raping a child. Thomas Wayne #Garner, 66, was arrested yesterday on five counts of rape of a child. The Sheriff’s Department was made aware of the situation through a referral from DCS. The charges were taken to the grand jury, which returned a true bill last week. Sheriff Kyle #Helton said the department located Garner and he turned himself in to authorities.Investigator Shane #Hunter is the investigator of the case. Garner is being held on $500,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court November 25.
