Man I am so bugged that SELMAs David Oyelowo was not nominated in The Best Actor in the Leading Roll Category! The Academys choices werent exactly reflective of that of The Foreign Hollywood Press Associations selection for The Golden Globes. Somehow he got edged out to make room for AMERICAN SNIPERs Bradley Cooper. Also, Ava DuVernay was disappointingly left out for her direction of the civil rights epic. I must say also that it was a surprise to me that Jennifer Aniston wasnt mentioned given all the hype and rave reviews she was getting for her breakthrough performance in CAKE. Additionally, I was surprised that Amy Adams didnt make the cut for yet another riveting performance for her efforts with BIG EYEs. The Best Picture category didnt surprise me at all really. The complement of nominees is what I expected though room could have mad for GONE GIRL perhaps. This is given that the Academy can nominate up to 10 films in that category where here we have 8. Anyway, the decisions have all been made. We will have to see the live #ABC telecast of the 87th Annual Academy Awards on Sunday February 22nd 2015 to see who will walk away with the coveted gold statuette!! #OscarNominations
