Man accused of causing disturbance after being locked out of hotel room FORT WALTON BEACH – A 39-year-old Fort Walton Beach man is charged with causing a disturbance after a relative locked him out of his hotel room. Fort Walton Beach Police were called to Holiday Inn Lodge on Aug. 21 at 1:20 a.m. for an intoxicated person, according to the arrest report. When they got there, they found Joshua Lee Gladin, who was “highly intoxicated.” He was causing a disturbance after being locked out of his hotel room by a relative, the report said. His behavior was so disruptive that the innkeeper evicted Gladin from the hotel, telling him not to return to the property. He left, but police were called again because he returned at 3:19 a.m., according to the report. When officers arrived the second time, they saw Gladin in the parking lot of the hotel, vandalizing his relative’s vehicle. When officers arrested him for trespassing, he “began cursing loudly” and “began acting aggressive,” the report said. Police reported that the “moral decency” of the clerk and guests at the hotel were offended by his disturbance. Gladin is charged with breach of peace or disorderly conduct and trespassing on a property other than a structure.
