Man arrested for threatening to kill Bihar CM Nitish The police went into a tizzy late on Saturday evening after posters threatening chief minister Nitish Kumar appeared in many areas of the state capital. The posters said Kumar would be attacked at his next janta durbar on September 16. Senior police officers immediately swung into action and the posters were removed. After scanning CCTV footage of the concerned areas, the police zeroed in on a man who was a regular at the CM’s janta durbars. SSP Manu Maharaj, who also attends Kumar’s public meetings, identified the man as Bhimsen Mishra, a resident of Chitnawa village under Maner police station in Patna district. Mishra had also signed his name on the posters. Mishra was later arrested near Patna Junction roundabout, where he was roaming aimlessly. A senior police official said Mishra appeared to be mentally disabled. “Mishra claims to be an ayurveda practitioner and also an astrologer. He also claims to have knowledge of occult sciences,” said a police official.
