Man oh Man...What is going on with these Police officers. A 26 year old female friend of mine was on her way home with her son. They are on 450 and witnessed some Prince Georges County Police being what she thought was overly aggressive towards an elderly women(slammed her on the hood of her car), so she parks her car to get out to record the incident. She is standing across the street recording with 3 other people who were also recording. They had the elderly womans daughter handcuffed in the passenger seat of her on vehicle. the daughter noticed the people across the street recording and tells the police thats ok they are recording this. so the police start their way across the street to the ppl recording and start asking for id,etc and taking the people who were recording phones..One girl an officer used his feet to knock her off her feet, she falls and hits her head.. Im giving a brief account because there is much more to this story..Anyway, this was about 7pm..the arrest all 3 or 4 ppl at the scene and charge them with obstruction of justice,etc...(how are they obstructing anything if they are across the street?)..they are held a the local precinct until approx 6am when they are finally released.. Keep in mind they have not been told what they were detained for, they have not had their rights read to them, they were not allowed to call anyone...Also the entire time they can hear the officers making up (yes fabricating) they story to put in the police report...they were cursing at us, and a bunch of other lies.. One of the people who was detained, was a male who said he stopped to record because one of the officers involved had recently been aggressive and abusive toward him..And they had him handcuffed to a desk not in a cell for 10 hours....Anyway the police erased the videos they recorded and the police report was totally a lie. they were sent to upper marlboro, she got out this am on $1000 bond and is planning to contact Angela D. Alsobrooks Rushern L. Baker Eric Holder, the NAACP, Al sharpton and anyone else who needs to know...Sound like police misconduct and civil rights were violated to me....
