Man sentenced to death for rape-murder of 9-year-old. CHANDIGARH: A Faridabad court has awarded death sentence to a convict for raping and murdering a nine-year-old girl. Additional district and sessions judge Ram Niwas Bharti also imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on the convict, Inder Saini, a resident of Faridabad. On January 16, 2012, the father of the victim, who hailed from Munger district in Bihar and had been residing in old Faridabad for 15 years, lodged a complaint with police that he had found the body of his nine-year-old daughter in a gunny bag, after she had gone to the accused to serve him "kachori." The family of the complainant had been residing in a part of the house where the accused Inder Saini also lived. The complainant had five children, including two married daughters, two minor daughters and a 12-year-old son. On January 15, when the complainant had brought kachoris for their children, Inder Saini also expressed his desire to have a kachori. The complainant accordingly sent his nine-year-old daughter to Inder to serve him kachori. As she did not return for a long time, the complainant went to the room of Inder, but there was no one inside. However, there were blood spots on the bed sheet. He searched for his daughter even on the roof top where he saw Inder throwing out a gunny bag. Before he could ask about his daughter, Inder escaped from the spot. The complainant, accompanied by his cousin Durga, went to the backside of the house and opened the gunny bag. He found the body of his deceased daughter, drenched in blood.
