Man this upsets me...upsets me for multiple reasons. First and foremost separation of church and state does NOT mean that we banish all Christian things from public places. And yes, I am making the distinction of Christian things because there is an overwhelming bias in the public for tolerance of every religion, just as long as its not Christian. (thats a whole other post though) What the separation of Church and State prevents is the mandatory participation in religious activities. So kids meeting together BY CHOICE in a Teachers classroom is not FORCED participation of this. And who gives a damn if kids can see prayer and bible reading and apparently are offended by it, those observing kids are not forced to participate and can chose to not pay attention just like many people chose not to pay attention to others freedom of speech or expression. The second reason that this upsets me is because this is primarily the Churchs fault. We have preached hate and wrath and God hates Fags and God sent Judgement with Katrina that can we really be surprised with this kind of response?? i think that it is absolute bogus that we are no longer Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons. You received without paying; give without pay. Matthew 10:8 The early church was founded on signs and miracles, primarily healing the sick and providing HOPE to the HOPELESS. But then a bunch of self-righteous morons decided this was only for a sElect group of people and that this wasnt a free gift of grace to everyone...? For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people...Titus 2:11 The things that makes me really sad is that this article stems from those kids praying for other sick kids. I have personally seen hundreds of people healed including legs growing out, cancer disappearing on scans, hepatitis disappearing, headaches vanishing, backs shifting back into alignment, numb hands from MS receiving feeling back into them, and many other things... This is for today, it is absolutely Gods Will, and Gods Timing, and God has given us Everything that we need for LIFE and Godliness...2 Peter 1:3 I know this is thrown around, primarily by the Secular crowd when we preach Turn or Burn but you NEED to be rooted and founded in LOVE. You must be. There is no compromise. “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:34-35 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 1 Corinthians 13:2 Here is the Facts: Jesus went to the cross for all Sin, all Judgement of Sin, and took all of Gods wrath. But now he has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself. Heb 9:26 God is NOT JUDGING SIN ANY MORE. But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God. Heb 10:12 Long story longer, this upsets me. I cant tell you what their motivation was behind it was but I can tell you that I love you, and God loves you, and God doesnt even look at what we do, he didnt go to the cross because we were awful sinners in need of salvation. He went to the cross because we are his sons and daughters and he would do ANYTHING to have you back in the family.
