Candidates must have a medical or medical insurance customer service background, which includes familiarity with medical terms. Must be able to handle at least 75 incoming calls a daily. Main Duty of Position: Handles phone calls that will vary from problems and complaints to inquiries and questions for all aspects of the business that will originate from various sources including members, doctors offices, hospital offices, and outside vendors. Provides efficient, courteous and knowledgeable response to inquiries on the Member Services phone line. Is proficient in data entering information into numerous programs. General requirements include: High School diploma, some college preferred Strong computer skills -- Microsoft Office Suite Bilingual English/Spanish is required Outstanding listening, communication and problem solving skills Ability to type accurately 35 wpm (Can be confirmed via online typing test) Previous customer service call center experience (preferably in a health care setting); Strong communications and interpersonal skills Must meet or exceed state requirements for Member Services Representative Must pass drug and criminal background checks. This is a full time position 9:00am to 5:30pm M-F.
