We are also talking to organisations who may be interested in becoming associated with IBA. This is ongoing planning and development for the future. Communication with the Junior Clubs: Firstly we would like to thank the Clubs for their valuable input to our strategic direction. We aim to increase our communication with the Clubs and will be meeting regularly with the Presidents/club representatives to ensure that we are informed and united in our approach to the betterment of our Association. We are also keen to hear from other stakeholders who have positive ideas and input that would support our mission and values. If you have ideas that you believe would benefit our association or are willing to volunteer your time, please use the orange box outside the office or contact a management committee member. We will aim to provide response to all positive ideas and reasons for their acceptance or not. QBL: This season has been very successful and we would like to thank the QBL committee for the smooth running of our competition. We have also been successful in reducing the deficit in running this program when compared to past years, albeit with less sponsorship and greater financial commitments, with an ultimate aim for QBL to become self-funding. Success of the teams supports this aim as does the appeal to sponsors of a strong cohesive community focussed association that provides value to their brand. We must also ensure that the program is giving back to our juniors and creating pathways for our players. We are currently seeking Expressions of Interest for the Head Coach of the QBL mens team for next season. Player contracts will be structured to facilitate the involvement of QBL players in programs to develop our junior players. Marketing and Promotion: We will be promoting our junior players and our successful junior competition on our Facebook page and local media. It is important that we recognise the work of the Junior Fixture committee and the volunteers from our clubs who drive the success of this competition. Whilst we cannot control the media provided by external parties we will actively engage to promote all aspects of our association competition. The management committee will also be looking to increase our sponsorship offerings for the upcoming QBL season. Training and Development: The management committee is working on further training and development programs for all areas of IBA, this would include players, referees, coaches, parents and volunteers e.g. the online registration and scoring systems. There will be notices put on our website, Facebook and direct contact with the Junior Club executives. Stadium upgrade: The management committee is looking to upgrade our stadium over the next few years. We will be engaging with architects and planners to determine the most appropriate construction and phasing of stages, ideally to enhance court facilities, seating, commentary and bar area. If anyone with building, construction and/or architectural knowledge is interested in assisting with the planning of this project please contact our Administrator. If you have any feedback or wish for further information please leave a note for the Secretary in the orange management committee box located next to the stadium office.
