Manager, Employee Relations (UAE Nationals Only) - Institute of Applied Technology: • Strategic Planning & Coordination o Conceptualizes the integration of the human resources activity and the objectives of these functions and plans accordingly to ensure that procedures and schedules are implemented. o Assists the Senior Management to identify the annual objectives. • Supervision o Manage and train HR staff including organizing, prioritizing and scheduling work assignments to ensure compliance to IAT goals. o Establish implementation and evaluates procedures used to carry out the daily routine of the Personnel department. • HRIS o Responsible for the planning and development of an HRIS system to meet the needs of IAT. o Coordinates and maintains the implementation of an HRIS. o Supervises the implementation of changes required by law or changes in company plans. o Serves as liaison to the IT group and to other departments for development, implementation and maintenance of the HRIS system. o Responsible for resource allocation and personnel. Works closely with executive management and directs the efforts of HRIS management and related staff. • Compensation and benefits o Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure that the company attracts and retains the highest caliber of staff o Advising managers and staff on all compensation, benefits, policies and reward issues. o Supervising and maintaining staff allowances relating to Compensation and Benefits. • Organizational Development o Set up IAT system communication strategies, i.e. personal contact list, extension list, IAT & HR calendar, employee handbook. o Prepares and presents an annual HR strategic plan including HR policy and procedures. o Continuous business analysis and needs of the IAT regarding regulations and policy deployments. o Communications strategy, development and implementation of special organizational effectiveness and quality development projects, such as comparative staffing analysis and models. o Directs the development and implementation of salary and incentive compensation programs for the organization. o Plans and oversees job analysis and evaluation. o Planning future resource allocation, including budget and personnel. o Makes recommendations to maintain the company’s competitive position. o Succession planning. o Create and promote a value driven IAT culture of trust, transparency, respect, team spirit and ownership. • Facilitates Organizational Efficiency o Maintain inter-institute system communication. o Establish and maintain lines of authority. • Communication o Ensure that the HR goals, policies and procedures are accurately communicated to and followed by all IAT employees. o Develop and utilize effective communication channels through staff meetings, written procedures and any other means so that IAT employees are able to carry out their duties. o Inform Senior Management by making regular, timely and relevant reports. • Performance Management o To supervise the annual contract renewals in coordination with the performance appraisals of the staff. • Administration o Develop, monitor, modify and apply sound administrative practices to ensure all IAT employees are properly integrated into IAT system. o Monitor HR indicators such as leave, turnover in order to devise corrective strategies. o Provide HR advice and guidance to IAT staff and management within the system.
