Managing by projects in a bankrupted State : When a family pays its groceries with its credit cards just to impress the neighbors, you face difficulties soon; unless you go illegal to save your face. I prefer to manage by projects, volonteer efforts or with workers really paid. No loans, low cost, maximum impact; but you are not as well dressed as those who have their credit cards full or get by using the black market. It is a choice to be American or not. Project management : 1- Have a precise starting date. 2- Verify your budget. 3- Have a meeting to start up : decide how many meetings you will have, a minimum. 4- Call yourself on the phone regularely, even every day to be sure everybody has what he or she needs to do his or her job. 5- Verify if you go over budget, if you can have more or not. 6- 2-3 days before the events, a last meeting to see where the problems are. 7- So, you have a few days for suprises or sabotages. 8- Evaluate how people liked their experiences with a confidential questionnaire. 9- Have a ending date where everybody is completely free. 10- No publicity in the papers, no bronze plate; your success will show by it self.
