Manatee County Animal Services Offers Homeless Pets for No Adoption Fee MANATEE COUNTY, FL (June 24, 2013) – Manatee County Animal Services is offering dogs and cats for adoption at No Cost, Thursday through Saturday, June 27 - 29. The shelter is overflowing with homeless dogs and cats looking for a forever home. All the pets at the shelter deserve a second chance. Please give them a chance with a whole lot of love. If any time was just right, this would be it! Your home is missing something and you know what it is. A warm, fuzzy, furry pet! You don’t have to think about it any longer because the time is right, the time is now; the time is right now! Stop by the shelter or adoption center and find your forever friend today! All pets adopted will receive a health check, be spayed/neutered, vaccinated including rabies and microchipped. Even though the adoption fee has been waived, a small fee of $15.00 is required for Manatee County residents to cover the required license certificate/tag. Animal Services Chief Kris Weiskopf says “Come to Animal Services and check out all of our great homeless pets. We have a pet for everyone. Help us help the animals by adopting today; every animal deserves a second chance to live and love.” This adoption special is another step in the County’s plan to become a no-kill community. (open Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) and in Downtown Bradenton, 1002 B., Manatee Ave. W., (open Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.).
