Manatee County employees are constantly reminded of an organization-wide credo known as ACE: Accountability, Civility and Ethics. The director of the Manatee County Animal Shelter apparently had a lapse in memory today. One of the Forgetmenot Inc. foster moms, who is a professional athlete, took time out of her busy practice schedule today to visit the shelter with other Forgetmenot Inc. volunteers & pull a dog to foster. Most rescues temp test dogs before pulling a dog for foster care. Unfortunately, the shelter director was abrasive & unappreciative of the foster moms efforts. She was told not to take the dogs in the front play yard because that yard was needed for his volunteers. Why is this tolerated?
