Manav Rachna International University launches campaign in Faridabad to support the Government’s ‘Swachh Bharat Swasth Bharat’ mission... The hon’ble Prime Minister of India has very rightly announced the nationwide campaign of ‘Swachh Bharat Swasth Bharat’ to bring about mass awareness and a lasting behavioral change. To support the Central Government’s initiative and UGC mandate, Manav Rachna International University (MRIU) launched a massive campaign in Faridabad under the aegis of Dr. O P Bhalla Foundation. The students and faculty of MRIU collected at the campus today and took a pledge under the guidance of Mrs. Satya Bhalla, Chief Patron, MREI and Dr. N C Wadhwa, Vice Chancellor, MRIU to keep their surroundings clean. A tree plantation drive was also organized at Kodi Colony/ Sanjay Colony. The entire staff and students of Manav Rachna armed with brooms, took it upon themselves to clean the colony. The residents of Sanjay Colony were also told about the necessary pre-requisites on hygiene and a healthy lifestyle. The aim of the entire exercise was to sensitize these residents towards cleanliness and its importance. On this occasion, all members of the Manav Rachna fraternity also pledged to minimize the use of plastic bags. In tune with the mission, Yoga and meditation courses will very soon be incorporated within the curriculum at Manav Rachna for the holistic well-being of students. Arrangements are also being made by MRIU for a solid waste treatment plant.
