Responsibilities will include managing & implementing projects in a timely & cost effective manner, working from input & designs from customers, developing processing to provide the customer with anticipated results, developing manufacturing costs & quoting prices, providing direction & training shop employees, communicating directly with customers, providing shop with CNC programs using CAM software & simulation, debugging & optimizing CNC programs, developing & implementing new technologies throughout the manufacturing process, reviewing needs for any special tooling required by shop, and managing tooling acquisitions & inventory. Requirements of applicants include BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in a metalworking machining environment, knowledge of tooling & its applications (5 yrs exp), experince with troubleshooting engineering & manufacturing problems (5 yrs exp), some experience with teaching or training others, capable of completing multiple tasks with accuracy & in a timely manner, working knowledge of metallurgy, high level of understanding of the manufacturing equipment & processes, excellent verbal & written communication skills, proficiency in Solid Model design & CNC simulation, excellent knowledge & experience with application of speeds & feeds, proficiency with both English & Metric Measuring systems, and basic skills with Microsoft Excel and Word.
