Manchester City star denies exit rumours, says hes in contract talks-- According to Le10 Sport there have been rumours about the future of Samir Nasri for some time now, that a return to Ligue 1 was on the cards. Theres a feeling, welcome and manufactured by many in France, that Nasri wasnt doing well at Manchester City and so would be leaving the club soon. Due to past events, and many French football fans having an Arsenal soft spot, Nasri gets a hard time in the countrys media. Thats something hes spoken out about before and hell feel his reputation is partly to blame for omission from the last France squad. The Manchester City star appeared on Canal Football Club on Sunday and rubbished any idea that hes set to return to France and Ligue. Le10 transcribed part of the TV interview and quote Nasri as saying No, a return to Ligue 1 doesnt tempt me. I am in the best league in the world, I do not see myself back in the championship of France. When I see the Ligue 1, it does not make me want to come back ... (...) An extension? Yes, we are in discussions right now. I want to stay, I feel appreciated, have confidence in me. Nasris Manchester City contract runs out in June 2015 so its no surprise there are talks going on to extend that. He left Arsenal when he had a year left on his deal there but the same scenario doesnt appear to be playing out at Manchester City. The Frenchmans excellent goal against Sunderland at Wembley was a big factor in his club picking up their first piece of silverware so far this season.
