Manchester United Manager David Moyes has recently come out with a written letter showing his gratitude to the fans for the support they have shown him and the team thus far. To me, this seems nothing more then a letter of intent to show the board that the team are moving in the right direction regardless of the little on-pitch evidence. It seems like a response to a dreaded vote of confidence. With 11 games left, I am sure United supporters wouldnt want an apology for how badly the team has performed and would instead rather the team bucked their ideas up and started to show some fight for the cause, trying to salvage the little hope of Champions League football they have left. An apology doesnt cut it. Moyes has had ample opportunities to distinguish himself as a capable manager of arguably the biggest club in the world but has failed every time. From lacklustre transfer markets to awful decision-making and team selection, Moyes takes little positives from the reign in charge and if it carries on it will be the board apologising for the capture of Moyes in the first place. Lets face it, if Moyes hadnt been recommended by Sir Alex Ferguson he would have been out of the job already. culled
