Manchester United are set to make one final attempt to sign Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas but have lined up Bastian Schweinsteiger as an alternative if the bid fails, the Sunday Mirror reports. The Red Devils will offer £35 million plus add-ons for the Spanish play-maker but it is touch and go whether Fabregas will want to leave his beloved Barcelona and move back to the Premier League. This means that United boss David Moyes has had to think of alternatives and Schweinstegier is believed to be at the top of that list.
