Manchester United finally enter back into the top 4, after an agonising 14 month wait. What can I say, LvG described Sundays game vs Everton as a bad performance. Everton have won 3 out of the previous 4 games against us, so you can forgive United fans for being a little nervy prior to and during the match. We are not playing good but we are already 4th in the table. What is coming when we are playing well? Said the Dutchman. I personally think United played very well, theres still more that needs to be done, but slowly but surely, United are picking up the points necessary to reach Champions League football again. Considering the amount of injuries LvG has had to deal with, and the absence of his captain, Wayne Rooney, the position we sit in the table is something that I would describe as a decent start. Swansea, Sunderland, Burnley and Leicester were sides United should really be winning against, so to drop points against them is disappointing, but not disastrous. The first half against Everton was more like the United of old, both defensively and offensively sound. The second half proved why many say football is a game of two halves, although one might argue that United dominated, it was Everton who had the chances to steal the game. In all honesty, they shouldve scraped a point. The game will have certainly reassured Manchester United fans that things are on the up, and that theres no doubt we have some class acts to our disposal. The final piece of good news for United is the upcoming 2 week International break. There is no doubt that United will be able to use this time to their advantage, as it will allow various players to fully recover from their injuries. #MUFC #ManUtd #ManU
