Manchester United join Arsenal in the battle to sign Antoine Griezmann On March 10th 2014by Jonathan Lee Manchester – David Moyes is set to take the lead before rivals Arsenal and Liverpool in grabbing Real Sociedad winger Antoine Griezmann’s signature this summer, confirms Manchester United scout, David Friio. The 21-year-old is in the same level on La Liga goals as Lionel Messi this term with only Alexis Sanchez, Diego Costa and Cristiano Ronaldo having hit the net more often. “Griezmann would clearly bring something,” said Friio. “His versatility and technique, in a tournament where the gaps are reduced, are real assets. “You can’t score 15 goals in a great league without having real qualities.” Moyes is looking to refurbish his squad and his plans include making eight new signings, although interests from Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are killing his hopes of taking over Paul Pogba, Arturo Vidal and Ilkay Gundogan.
