Mandevu endorses HH, as gathering observes moment of silence for the dead economy Mandevu residents yesterday turned up in numbers to listen to the address by UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema during a rally held at Mutambe school grounds. Hichilema has since called on all the people to join hands and remove the incompetent PF government. Hichilema asked ailing dictator Michael Sata to take a rest and assured the crowd that once voted into power, UPND would sort out the mess brought in by PF so that young people can also benefit from the free education that he benefitted. He bemoaned the shortage of medicines in hospitals and further added that Mandevu was a large constituency with the largest number of voters which needed a hospital of its own. Hichilema said Pf had killed so many people by continuously raising the price of mealie meal and fuel. Shortly before he began his speech which was punctuated with ‘aleisa (he is coming)’ remarks, the UPND leader led the huge crowd into observing a moment of silence in honor of the dead economy. And former Lukashya MP and party trustee Benard Mpundu told the crowd that PF had robbed the Bemba people of their traditional heritage by President Sata’s interference in the Chitimukulu Chieftaincy. Mpundu however reiterated that whether Sata likes it or not, Henry Sosala was the duly elected Chitimukulu. Katuba MP Jonas Shakafuswa also sent the crowd wild with his trade mark commentary of ‘tachishi chishi chabanyinawabo (this is not land for only one person’s mother)’ while party national chairperson Mutale Nalumango said Zambian women need to be liberated by voting the PF out of government in 2016 or even earlier. And some defectors led by Ms. Anita Jere who was PF chairlady for intercity accused the Pf of failing to fulfill the campaign promises, hence their decision to quit the party.
