We always tend to assume a lot of things. We have a typical Car V/S Cycle attitude that whenever there is an accident, the car driver is at fault. Society has a very fixed norm of deciding the perpetrator and the victim. Many women misuse the “Rape Laws” to suit their own selfish needs. Many men are victims of domestic violence Yes sometimes in-laws are assailed by brides and their kin There are fake dowry cases With the changing social dynamics, we need to consider a lot of things. The weak is not weak anymore and the strong is not all that strong and weak and strong are relative concepts anyway. The laws, codes and above all our attitude towards deciding the perpetrator and the victim needs a major overhaul and that cannot be possible if we come loaded with pre conceived notions.
