Mankind needs the Grace of God and that Grace comes to us in only one way, Jesus.God loves us so much that He willingly paid the ultimate price to cancel our debt. And, there is not a thing we could have done to earn it. What a beautiful thing—grace. The Scripture is clear: “it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” God knows how people are. We boast of anything we think we accomplished on our own. God knew that, if we could redeem ourselves, we would never give Him the glory. Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. We place our faith in Jesus and this is where Grace enters the scene. John 1:17 For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. Now, understanding that it is by Jesus that we receive Grace to help in time of need, we can clearly see that our dependence on Him is vital to our future. Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. John 15:4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus According to the Bible, sin separates us from God and condemns us to death. Many of us have known the heavy weight of guilt associated with sin. Thank God! He provided a solution to sins curse through Jesus Christ, his Son. If you are in Christ, sins torment has been lifted from your life. Your death sentence has been revoked. Your debt has been canceled, and there is no longer any condemnation for you. Ephesians 3:17-19 Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. (NLT) Hebrews 10:19-23 And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place. And since we have a great High Priest who rules over God’s house, let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water. Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. (NLT)
