Manmohan Singh may have done some good things as finance planner for the country but his political and administrative weaknessess have cost the Congress party dearly. Moreover, it is not denying fact that the power control was somewhere else and already a poor communicator, was totally silenced by the power behind him. It has always been the tradition of Congress that no second level leadership is allowed to grow, which has left a vacumn of leadership in the Congress Party. It will take a while to build such regional leaderships and the party is unlikely to regain its lost base until such regional leaderships are allowed to grow.
