Manna Blog Day 196: Wasps Today the given picture is a close up of a wasp’s face, and I am reminded that I read recently that every wasp has an individual pattern of markings on their face, so that, like fingerprints on humans, no two are the same and all are recognisable in their difference. Our entire universe speaks loudly of uniqueness and variety. Every person has a complex and different make-up. Even every cat has their own character (ours likes to chase pens) and each atom inhabits its own unique space in the universe. Such a God we have, who delights in imprinting all life with his own qualities of uniqueness, oneness, speciality! This is the deliberate and beautiful design of a God in love with his own creation. For me it is a clear communication not only of God’s existence, but also of his care. ©K Dibbens-Wyatt 2013
