Many Americans have a list of Hollywood stars they no longer pay to see because they’re tired of their anti-American rants. But one celebrity dared to speak up for a different point of view. Mark Wahlberg stars in an upcoming film called “Lone Survivor,” the true story of the deadly Operation Red Wings Navy SEAL mission of 2005. After a screening this week, Wahlberg went on a tirade against actors who complain about how hard it is to take SEAL training for a film, or to endure the hardships of shooting a movie. I’ll leave out the many expletives he used. But in a nutshell, he blasted his spoiled fellow celebrities, asking “how dare you” complain about taking a little military training, while you sit in a makeup chair, when what actors do is nothing compared to what real military members do. That rant might not win him many friends in Hollywood. But out here in “flyover country,” I bet a lot of people who haven’t paid to see a movie in years will be lining up for tickets to “Lone Survivor.”
