Many Christians have sadly not come into the reality of Christ because they have not realized who and what they are become in Christ and where their life now exists. 3For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory. Colossians 3 If a Christian still lives according to his former way and manner of life in the natural man in the world, he has not yet come to realize his life in Christ. Many try very hard to become good and noble people and yet these have not yet known Christ as their life and living because they live by laws and rules and philosophies. This they must do because they have not yet surrendered to the Christ within. Instead these still walk or live as if still alive to the world which is really NOT alive after all. 20If you have died with Christ to the elementary principles of the world, why, as if you were living in the world, do you submit yourself to decrees, such as, 21“Do not handle, do not taste, do not touch!” 22(which all refer to things destined to perish with use)—in accordance with the commandments and teachings of men? 23These are matters which have, to be sure, the appearance of wisdom in self-made religion and self-abasement and severe treatment of the body, but are of no value against fleshly indulgence. This is still abiding in self to observe the law of God and to please God which is NOT according to Christ, my life.
