Many believe Christian based education is worthless but yet, they say there are Christians. Christians are or ought to be devout Bible students. The study of theology goes much deeper than just reading the Bible. Professing Christians must be biblically educated, and able to hold a theological argument in defending their faith. Isaiha 28:10 gives us the guideline as to how to study along with 2 Tim 2:15-16, which require that we be approved unto God so we can teach correctly, and finally, 1 Peter 3:15 tells us that we must always be ready to defend our faith. The Christian world does not encourage formal biblical education. Consequently, many have attended churches for years and cannot explain a simply theological or bible term. If the leaders are not educated, how do we expect the disciples to be? 1 Timothy 1:7 (KJV) [they] Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm. I love to hear people say "I have to pray about it." There is no such thing of praying about something God has already commanded you to do. We do not pray God whether we should eat or not, whether we should breath or not. We simply thank Him for the food or for the air we breathe. Another trend is that many seek the approval of someone else before they can go to school to be prepared for the ministry they have called into. Is that what the text says or some minds are twisted? In closing, being educated is the same as being approved unto God. Therefore, this is not a suggestion in we can or have time. This is a commandment from the inspired word of God. What we need to pray for is, for God to direct our steps toward a true Bible College that is not sided with a sect or a denomination. These two will not get you education to be approved unto God. They will teach you their doctrines not biblical doctrines. They will not allow you to think for yourself allow the inspiration to help you understand the truth but they will think for you every step of the way.
