Many blacks like to say that We built this country! This is true, when the value of uncompensated slave labors aggregate economic boon is factored into the economic equation, in the mercantile and industrial North, and the agrarian and pre-industrial South. What is less known is that blacks also preserved this nation in and after the Civil War, by fighting decisively for the North in defeating the South; in refraining from killing white plantation owners or their heirs, or, destroying their crops or property, while their troops were away or thereafter. Instead, they, the blacks, remained loyal and dutiful, until the U.S. Army came within reach, then the bulk of these made a break for freedom, becoming known as Contraband of War. After the war, they suffered disarmament, without whimper, and federal abandonment without complaint, while being massacred! Their creative and inventive genius in the arts and crafts also helped to propel the nation to the forefront of the world in the mechanical, electrical, agricultural, industrial fields, and in the intellectual property fields, as attested by their many patents and copyrights, post-war. Yet, despite building the country, preserving it as a country, propelling it forward into world leadership, including remaining loyal through all of its many wars , blacks were sanctimoniously betrayed by the very white power structure and politicians of this country, that it had preserved, propelled forward, remained loyal to, suffered repeated broken promises from, and endured massacres under! What an extraordinary people they are, we are to this very day, as news articles and programs daily reflect. This betrayal involves those rights, privileges, immunities, guaranteed in the Constitution and at law, pursuant thereto. This betrayal involves unpaid reparations for unceded abandoned lands, for unpaid labor and pensions, for marauders murder, mayhem, and malevolent, yet unrequited, injustices at law and in commerce since 1866. Our total freedom and equity in this country has not been given, despite all of our good, pleas, prayers, and patriotism. It will have to be taken! How can it be taken? Study history, study scripture, study your present condition and circumstances; next, coalesce with others of like mind and disposition; then obey the commands of the Holy Spirit unhesitatingly respecting salvific, redeeming moves!
