Many companies focus on improving their bottom line with two - TopicsExpress

Many companies focus on improving their bottom line with two simultaneous methods of action. There is the red pencil side that cuts and trims to keep profits strong (improving efficiencies)...and the second component focuses on customer growth (top line growth). When the red line side of the equation becomes of greater focus, the top line profit side shrinks as the result of deep cuts. Employees disengage because of job loss fears, which is the underlying message that goes with most efficiency reductions. In economic down turns companies often focus only on improving efficiencies...the red pencil comes out and it is cut, burn and slash. After a prolonged focus on improving efficiencies the profit equation becomes very unbalanced. To reignite the growth side and balance your profit bottom line, you must refocus on building committed relationships with your customers and employees. When you have happy customers, who also invite their friends and families to buy your products and services, your top line profits will soar. You get happy, repeat customers when your employees are happy and engaged in your business. It is a simple equation...happy employees create happy customers. Where has your company focus been in the past few years? Is your bottom line out of balance? Are your employees disengaged and fearful? I would love to help your company even up its bottom line and perhaps... help you to put away your red pencil forever!
