Many enjoyed my story with regard to my personal experience with Obamacare....Well now for a 3 month UPDATE...I have had a severe case of Bronchitis with one ER visit 3 Dr. Visits. Inhalers, steroids, antibiotics. I have had to start a 6 month series of Dr. appts for a Dr advised diet plan to prepare for my Gastric Sleeve Surgery in July. I have had Nutrition classes, Blood test, Upper GI test, Psych eval, Antibiotics for a bacteria they found in my stomach, Metabolism study, Exercise eval, and surgical consult. I have renewed taking my Happy pill and Testosterone therapy since I have low T. Would anyone care to have an estimate on what that would have cost with NO Insurance....I estimate well over $8,000 so far. Not including the Surgery Est $20,000.00....Heres the GREAT news. I have met my $500 Deductible, and I am $500 away from my OUT OF POCKET MAX for the year. With my $80 a month perscription copays (testosterone alone is $900 a month with out insurance)....by the time July comes I will be paying $200 or less for my Surgery and I WILL PAY NOTHING ELSE FOR THE YEAR EXCEPT MY MONTHLY PREMIUM!!!.....(which is very affordable).....Now I know everyone is not so fortunate. BUT IT IS SAVING MY LIFE IN MORE WAS THAN ONE!!!
