Many have raised the question, with me being a 19 year old IVCC student with plans to transfer to Illinois State University in 2 years, how exactly I intend on fulfilling the duties of City Commissioner. Simply put, I plan on continuing to live and work here in Oglesby, while commuting back and forth to Bloomington-Normal, hopefully, only 2 days a week. I could have easily chosen to live in Bloomington-Normal, in fact, it would have been a lot easier on me, but as I have made quite clear, this election is important to me. This election is important to me because I believe that any constituency should have good, decent representation in government. I believe that, with how passionate I am in regard to politics and civil service, that I will indeed be able to fulfill the duties of the office of City Commissioner just as well, if not better than the rest of the field.
