Many, many people read the bible but few live the word. Why is this? We know very well that these things are only spiritually discerned yet few know what their human spirit is so how can they expect to USE this inner most part of their being in order to eat and digest the living word properly? Even when I differentiate the difference between the spirit and the soul and the heart, it still requires faithful, daily exercise and practice towards using it and discerning it and then finally...what the Spirit impressed upon me this morning was that even when people read their bible and try to exercise their spirit for discernment of truth and for digestion of it for life, they MUST also be sure that they are both OPEN to truth and all Gods righteousness and willing to obey it. The reason many are stuck and cannot grow is because they hold on to mind sets, concepts, traditions, preferences, comfort zones, and even religious forms or the outward appearances of godliness To walk in spirit requires also that you would agree to walk in all Gods truth and righteousness and according to His will over your own and others! Jesus said that He was truth and that only those who were OF truth would be able to hear His voice! Pilate said to him, “You are a King then?” Yeshua said to him, “You have said that I am a King. For this I was born and for this I have come into the world: to testify of the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears my voice.” John 18:37 Truth comes to us only by way of revelation which means in His light which shines through the darkness of our hearts and souls! This is by the exercise of faith so that the living word of truth as the living stream of life may pass through from the spirit to and through the heart and unto the soul for substantiation for washing and renewing and transformation unto the fulness of life and then for living in the bearing of its fruit. It is not enough to merely read the bible. It is not enough to merely seek to exercise your human spirit. It is also necessary to seek truth and to be willing to obey all truth for anything within you that you are not willing to lose can and will prevent you from receiving more revelation of truth for Life!
