Many, many thanks to everyone who attended and participated in our old time Christmas concert last Saturday. The Brooklyn Sparks stole the show with their spirited rendition of The Twelve Days of Christmas. Ryan Harvey brought us a bluegrass White Christmas. Ruth Ann Greenough took Silver Bells to a new plateau and then sent shivers up our spines with the descant in O Come All Ye Faithful. Kaylee Harding provided us with a piano solo and the 4-Hers gave us the meaning of Christmas to the letter in a recitation. Gayle Harding spoke to the Lord and Diane Davidson led the Newport church choir in two spirited numbers. A Guy and Doll (Nicholas Cox and Audrey Eastwood) took us to Hawaii and Wendell Davidson was the star shepherd in our Nativity play that included loud sheep and a dog and a donkey and our three wise women Lexie Barkhouse, Janet Moffatt and Sharon Sanford. Through the generosity of those who attended $150 was added to our Good Samaritan outreach fund. This was one of those treasured times when peace and joy just takes over and gives us hope.
