Many of my friends know of my fascination with our Florida Lighthouses, and, especially, with those with a history as east coast sites incorporating the wonderful and famous First-Order Fresnel Lens lights. SADLY, to me, the magnificent restored Cape Canaveral First-Order Fresnel Light now stands as an Ancient Relic in a *museum* at Daytona Beachs Ponce de Leon Inlet Light Station, rather than still functioning atop our Cape Canaveral Light here on the Space Coast. This is in sharp contrast to the fact that comparable historical First-Order Fresnel Lens Lights STILL serve admirably atop the St. Augustine Light north of us on the Florida East Coast, as well as atop the Jupiter Light just south of us.
